Final part of my May weekend skate trilogy. Last 2 weeks, skated Batam, Indonesia and Desaru, Malaysia. This week, I went with my cycle buddies and their organisers to Kukup, Malaysia and Southern Most end of Mainland Asia, Tanjung Pial.

Keeping pace with mostly road bikers is real hard work. Even skating at 20km/h, I still lagged. So my friends take turn to pull me along. Thanks Stanley, myers and the rest for pushing me along.

At Gelang Patah, knowing the road is going to be rough on me, going real slow. Not wanting to slow the group down and rain is looming ahead, plus Singapore Custom will stop me at borders since my last adventure with Flo, so ended my journey taking bus back to Singapore.

After the hills of Batam last week, desaru seem flat to me.

Keeping pace with road bikers, of course I am slower but take less break, reach earlier than sea group

My first skate to batam, riau islands, Indonesia.
Barelang highway, 6 bridges linking Batam to other islands, Rempang, Galang and Galang Bahru.
Endless road of rolling hills that I can't remember what is like skating on flat road. So much braking that I have to change my rubber ball on my westssup pole. Luckily I brought spare. Good part is that the road is damn smooth, one of smoothest I ever skated on. Comparable to Cuba smooth silky roads.
Rain caught up in Rempang, a chance to take a long break. A hour of waiting for rain to stop and road to dry up.
If rempang got endless roads of rolling hills, Galang Bahru got the steepest slopes. Last part, there was construction on going, roads were tore up. Ended up walking last few km. Reached Roundabout where road ends. Turn left and few metre of gravel, there is a kelong where I can have a good meal of fresh seafood and sleep in the kelong with the sea directly below me.
