Bo Jio Bohol Philippines Skate Day 4 Tubigon to Tagbilaran

Bo Jio Bohol Philippines Skate
Day 4
Tubigon to Tagbilaran
Distance: 54km
Time on board : 3 hours 42 mins
Avg speed : 14.4km/h

Our final leg of Bohol skate was joined by Rheque Marley, who was inspired by our adventure and he decided to skate the final 54km with us to Tagbilaran even though he never did distance skate before.
This morning, we woke up late since we skated 200km in 2 days and only had to cover 54km today. Furthermore it was raining last night so roads were wet. When we started skating at 9.30 am, it was still drizzling. We still skated on. Rheque being a first timer to distance skate, managed to catch up with us at avg 16km/h with rolling hills and wet grounds.

Today skate was wet and muddy. Bohol suffered 7.5 magnitude earthquake 3 years and still repairing roads. Many occasions, we had to walk when one lane of a road was under construction. We had to hitch a ride for 1 km when it turned to a muddy off road.

We finally finished the Bohol round island at Tagbilaran ferry terminal. Awesome 310 km in 4 days

Bo Jio Bohol Philippines skate
Day 3
Alicia to Tubigon
Distance : 103km
Time on board: 6 hours 39 mins
Avg Speed: 15.5km/h
After camping last night at police station, we bade farewell to Alicia police. Today we skate 103km to Tubigon.

This is 2nd consecutive days of skating 100km. It has taken a toll on our bodies. Even with rolling hills, we still skated with a good pace of 16.2km/h until lunch. We took a short nap at lunch to escape from afternoon heat. Gary prayed for cool weather. Well, he got what he wished. It started raining at Aisinian 73km. We had to skated remaining 30 km to Alicia in the rain. The rain slowed us a lot to 14km/h and we just managed to reach Tubigon before dark.
Tomorrow we will skate 60km to Tagbilaran to complete Bohol full island skate

Bo Jio Bohol Philippines Skate Day 2 Baclayon to Alicia

Bo Jio Bohol Philippines Skate
Day 2
Baclayon to Alicia
Distance : 101km
Time on Board :6 hours 12mins
Avg speed : 16km/h
Today we skated 101km from Gary's friend Joshua's place in Baclayon to Alicia. Joshua's hospitable family prepared us a hearty breakfast to start the day.

We make good pace, reaching 60km to Jagna just before 12 noon, in time for lunch. Along the way, we had coastal road, facing the sea. At Lila, we passed by the police station and they asked us for photos.

After Jagna, we had rolling roads all the way. By 5pm, we arrived at Alicia. We asked the police if we can camp at the abandoned building next to police station. They not only allowed us to camp and even allowed us to shower at their station. I love pinoy police.
Tomorrow we shall skate another 100km to Tubigon. Good night
