Day 6 : Short but Great ride
Pekan to Kuantan

One of the best days so far.
Good weather, no more rain
Smooth roads with wide shoulder
Weaker headwind,

Only 40 km to Kuantan, capital of Pahang state. So we woke up later and have nice breakfast before setting off.

The chopped board felt stiffer now, better for pushing. On the hindsight, I should request for stiffer board for touring.

Kept pace with KC and Thierry, drafting behind them at 15-18km/h without exerting much effort. And we took only one break throughout.

By 11 am, we already arrived at Kuantan, Dave found super cheap homestay at 70 ringgit for 4 of us. That means it cost us $4 USD each

Brought silicone seal to seal the chopped end from preventing further water damage. Hopefully it can last me till Vietnam.

I love these touring days, where you arrive by the mid day and had energy to explore the city.
